Background fractured floor elements for Crusher launch website. I had done this animation for the features section, though only a still is used.
Spheres
Here's a fun little simulation to get pretty randomized clusters of spheres to be used as backdrop for an image. Love that sphere texture from the GSG texture kit.

Messing with Cinema4D
Here's a quick test of the xplode plugin for Cinema4D. Had to play around with different shatter/explode effects for some headphone renders I'm doing. The original hd size video took about 6 hours to render, which is not bad considering it also has proper motion blur.

Rubber Band at 2000 fps
Doesn't get any more random than this, but it's just way too cool! [hana-flv-player video="http://www.denizdurmus.com/photoblog/video/rubber_band_at_2000fps.FLV" width="256" height="512" description="" player="4" autoload="true" autoplay="false" loop="false" autorewind="true" /]

Orson Welles
Saw this at the The Liam McEneaney Experience "Speaking of loosely disjointed rambling, the great Orson Welles ended his career as the spokesman for cheap wine and frozen peas. Below, a couple of outtakes from a commercial shoot where he is blind stinking drunk. As yo uwatch, you really have to wonder what was going through the minds of the other actors."
